I just started today. I did the initial test and the week 1 day 1 workout. The first workout was tough. The amount of reps and rest seem appropriate for my current strength level. I am looking forward to completing the program.
Thanks for establishing this site and making the daily entries possible. It really helps to journal. I like to write but I don't like using paper and pencil so this is ideal for me.
I plan to do more reading during this challenge. My intent is that my reading will inform my blogging and help my writing become more beautifully prosaic. I am hoping to create within myself a balance of intellectual and physical beauty.
I aspire to much. Political activist, teacher, father, husband, lover, family member, friend, musician, and meditative individual are the roles that come to mind at the moment. I hope to explore and fulfill my potential in each of these roles as the next 6 weeks expand into the coming and remaining period of my life.
Hey that title sound like the Sinatra tune he did with the Dorsey band! I am 51 years old now and I am starting the program from weekone. I did the day one workout as prescribed. I intend to stick with this through the entire 6 week period this time and see what kind of results I get. I did the workout in the morning today before work. That may be the best course because after work I feel drained. perhaps I shoud work on my dieditation more to get over that feeling. I really want to build my strength and work on the aesthetics of my arms for the summer. That is stupidly vain (is there a smart way to be vain?) but I figure I only have a few good years left for the looks end of things so I may as well try. On a more serious vein (hey a play on words) I would like to be a good example for young people who don't take physical fitness seriously. There are personal and political reasons to be in shape. More on that later. Sincerely, Kevin
